Castle of Chillon !!!

I fell in love with this castle, it's the oldest one that can be visited in Switzerland, and it's also so rich in history…(it's amazing what can be done with Photoshop with an unfocused picture).

This is my 3rd visit, but this time we took a guided tour. I say "we", 'cause my nephew Yoan (15 yrs old) came to spend the week-end with me. So after seeing 5 of the 6 Star wars movies in two days, we went to get a touch with the past…

This castle it's famous in the world after a poem written by Lord Byron "The prisoner of Chillon" based on the true story of Bonivard, a prisoner during the independence fight of the Republic of Geneva.

I’ve been working now for 2 weeks now, and I have only one left.
I have met so many interesting people It’s nice to work in an international environment.
Sometimes things go really slow for a while, and then suddenly everything happens at the same time.
Well that’s what’s going on with my life now. After month wondering if I was going to find a job, now I’m getting several interviews, even the place where I am right now it's hoping to give me a permanent job.

Mosty what I’ve been doing it’s “cleaning up” all the files, organizing all the archives. I’m lucky that I can listen to music while doing it. After going twice trough my Mp3s I decide to look for radio stations on the net. It’s known that usually the best music it’ s after midnight, so I’ve been listening to “Radio 1” at 2 am (well here it was 9am). For those who doesn't know that radio station, it's one of the biggest stations in Costa Rica.I listening to it for so long, until 10 am, there is a program around 7 am “Radio 1 en la carretera” I used to listen where I was heading to work, it was the only one not presenting the national program “Panorama”. Oh ! how many souvenirs.

I will be heading again for the “Marché de Noël”, we are doing the secret friend game next Monday at work, so I had to get a present.

Finally snow has come, the hotel a Leysin it’s covered with snow…So the skiing season would be starting soon. My cousin promised to me that we would go, so I can learn to Skiing or Snowboard (she & Prem are still arguing about which one of the 2 I should start with)…

Finally work...

Tomorrow I start on a new job. It's only for 3 weeks but I'm excited about it. I will be working for a Hotel School helping organizing their archives…
Tomorrow it's also the beginning of the famous "Marché de Noël" (Christmas Market), and of course I will check it out…

I moved again !!!

It's been already 3 weeks since I moved to my new apartment. A baha'i friend left for a year to the USA and I'm renting during that time his apartment. It's on the third floor of a small building (I'm the top floor) and I share it with the owners and their families…

After climbing all the stairs (no elevators)… the entrance…

Delta competition

Last month I went with my sister Sylvie and her children (Yoan, Léa and Maëlle) to see a Delta & Parachutist competition. We found a nice place close to the lake, where we could see pretty well the landing area…My nephew, Yoan, took the pictures… He is a really good photographer…

More news !!!

I take advantage during my computer classes to post again some pictures…Last week I received the sad news that my computer it’s gone for ever, but I will be receiving a new one this week.. So I’ll be “on-line” again…
These are some pictures taken during a Picnic by the lake, last month. The temperature has come down since then, so it’s not possible to swing anymore.. It’s usually cold in the morning and it gets warmer in the afternoon…So goodbye to my skirts and dresses and welcome back the jeans and sweaters…

Movies !!!

I decided to also share with you some of the movies that I see.
I finally saw the new Superman movie… I did like the beginning, but the quarter before the ending was OK.. I did find the movie a little predictable; I was able to guess most of it… And of course with that ending, we will be hearing soon about the making of the second movie…




This movie was awesome, Joyeux Noel, it was made with the collaboration of 3 countries: Germany, England and France. It's base on a true story that happened during I WW. I recommended to be seen on Multilanguage setting, it's easier to follow who is who and from which country they are from…
